Ahhh the city that never sleeps…New York, New York ❤
New York is just one of those places you have to see for yourself. Not only is it a world-wide known destination; it is filled with so much to do that you could never be bored.
Now if you are a first timer and not a big city person, then you might be a bit overwhelmed and it might be a scary thought to plan a trip to NYC. Being from Chicago, it is just another big city for me, but when I say big…I really mean it. It is impossible to get through everything in one weekend, but also a weekend is the perfect amount of time as well because you know you will be back.
The city sucks you in somehow and leaves you with wanting more of it, so book that ticket you will not regret it.

I can not even begin to express how in love I am with Tulum. I have seen a couple of Instagram pictures before heading over there and was thinking the place was beautiful. But with Instagram and any pictures in general you are usually taking pictures of the good stuff, but believe me when I tell you every single place in Tulum is absolutely magical and I am obsessed with it now.
I am sitting here writing this post and getting lost in my thoughts thinking of all the incredible places I have seen there. I decided to highlight some of my favorites and my experiences in Tulum. I am not sure if I will even be able to explain it because this is a destination that you just need to go and visit.
Tulum is a city located about an hour and half from Cancun, so it is a bit of a drive to get here. I recommend getting a shuttle beforehand, so that you are not wasting your time trying to get one at the airport and being bombarded by all the vendors.

Being a former Event Coordinator , I had to travel plenty of times for work and my biggest struggle was always how will I pack for this trip. Now, since I have traveled for work quite a few times and for personal reasons, I would say I have become somewhat experienced and have compiled a list of what to bring.
There are a few things you want to determine first:
- How long are you staying?
- Location of your business trip?
- What does the business trip entail?
- Will you have any free time?
Those are usually the questions I ask myself before I figure out what I need to pack. Usually, I end up packing some of the same things because most of my responses to those questions tend to stay relatively similar.

There is just something refreshing about a new year. 365 new days…365 new chance. Although many people have all kinds of different goals, mine always have something to do with travel.
Below are 4 travel goals I want to work towards this year and why they should be yours too:
Goal One: Travel More
Now this may be an obvious one but traveling makes you grow so much more than people realize, so this isn’t just for the fun of it. It has a lot to do with you as a person. Now I can’t explain the travel bug feeling, it is just something you have to experience yourself, but trust me when I say the more you travel the more you will want to. Visiting another city or country makes you see the world in a different way. When you are stuck in the same place constantly, all you know is the few feet you see in front of you. That is why I encourage everyone to take at least one trip a year. This does not have to be some expensive luxurious trip to Bora Bora or something over the top. Drive a few hours to a town near you and sit down at a small cafe and take it all in. Just being in a different vicinity will give you a new perspective on things and opens your mind up to so much more that is out there. So my biggest goal for this year is to travel more and experience all this planet has to offer one destination at a time.

Mexico is the perfect vacation getaway and I think many of you that have been can agree. Not only is the weather always perfect, there is so much to do and of course the best part…TACOSSS!
Now I have only been to Puerto Vallarta, so I cannot speak on all of Mexico, but if they are anything close to Puerto Vallarta then they must be amazing. Below is my travel guide to some of my suggestions on things to do in this amazing destination.
Where to stay: Club Regina Puerto Vallarta
Honestly any where you stay in Puerto Vallarta is going to be pretty great. There are tons of hotels to choose from and any location will give you plenty to do. I stayed over by the Puerto Vallarta Marina and I absolutely loved it. I was still close to the downtown area, but also had so much to do around me. My resort was more of an apartment style which I really enjoyed because although it is really nice to have an all-inclusive resort, sometimes I like being able to eat in the comfort of my resort room and have lots of food options. I love being able to try all kinds of food especially when visiting a new place, so I usually do not go for an all inclusive resort unless I am specifically looking for that kind of trip. The resort was beautiful and had its own beach, a few restaurants, and two huge pools. Along side that, they had many activities, such as water sports, beach volleyball and yoga and other fitness activities. I highly recommend it and was very happy with my stay there.

My favorite type of place has always been something tropical. Now it may be because I was born in a place like that or the fact that I love the water, but there is just something addictive about going to a tropical destination. The mixture of the jungle, the ocean, the palm trees, the fresh food; is what lures me in to these amazing places and it’s what got me to the island of St. Lucia.
St. Lucia is one of the many Caribbean islands and it’s most known for the dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons. The island has a lot to offer and it is perfect for all types of travelers. If you want to be more adventurous you can hike the Piton mountains, or go chase waterfalls in the jungle. If you loving immersing yourself in the culture, you can take a tour of the chocolate farms or hit up the local festivals. If you love to lounge around, well you’re on an island surrounded by beaches, so what more do you need than that.
Since I fall under all those categories, as I assume most of you do as well, below are some snippets of my incredible time in St. Lucia.

Many of you have heard of Croatia by now. And I may be biased because I was born there, but it is one of the most beautiful countries to visit. It offers breathtaking beaches, cute towns, mountains, and amazing greenery. Along with that comes one of my favorite national parks I have ever been to, Plitvice National Park.
The park is truly magnificent at any time of the year. My favorite time to go is during the summer months, just because you get to experience the beautiful waterfalls. But in the winter you get to be in awe of all the snowy beauty the park has to offer. Whichever season you go, you will not be disappointed.
The park is very big and it could take you hours to go through the whole thing. There are so many beautiful aspects to it that with each corner you can expect a different view. You will get to walk on shaky bridges, feel the breeze from the waterfalls and get some killer views from up the hills as well.
Recommendations: wear comfortable shoes, bring some snacks and a water bottle in case you get hungry (there are no shops throughout the park), and make sure to bring your camera because you will not want to miss these views.
Have you ever been to Plitvice National Park? What are some of your favorite National Parks you have visited?
Happy Travel – xoxo Dre ❤
Breathtaking to say the least. This five city paradise is a perfect one day destination when in Italy.
Now you definitely don’t have to limit yourself to just a day because this charming place can be explored in more than one. But if you are looking for a fun adventure, this is the perfect place to go.
The best part is that there is something for everyone and there is a train to take you through the towns, so you can choose which stops to make.
The Adventurous Type: Adventure is definitely out there. Personally my favorite part of my day trip to Cinque Terre was hiking through the adorable 5 towns. Not only do you get an awesome workout in, but the views along the way are breathtaking. And there are plenty of places to take a break along the way which make for great photo ops.
