Oh Music City – filled with some of the best nightlife and live music and of course bachelorette parties. Well at least that is what everyone thinks of when they hear Nashville – or Nash-Vegas, but there is so much more to this awesome city.
I have been to Nashville twice now and loved it each time for different reasons. The first time I went was a few years ago with a few of my friends. The last time I went was just a few weeks ago with my mom, so they were two very different trips for obvious reasons.
Below are a few of my favorite things about Nashville and they showcase how you can spend the perfect weekend with your friends as well as your family.
The Omni Nashville Resort – this hotel was stunning and luxurious. It was in the center of it all which made it the perfect location. The Omni is also connected to the Music Hall of Fame which is pretty cool to see if you are in Nashville and a big country fan.
Sheraton Music City Hotel – this hotel is perfect if you do not want to be in the hustle and bustle of it all but still be able to enjoy yourself. It is a five minute drive from the airport, so it is super convenient. My favorite part was the pool, where I spent most of my day.
Music Hall of Fame – this is a must see if you are a big country fan or a music fan in general. It takes you back through some of the history of country music and you get to see some memorabilia from back in the day.
The Gaylord Opryland Hotel – this hotel is absolutely stunning and there is so much to do and see inside. Imagine the hotels in Vegas and how they have a city within in them or a theme, this is how this hotel is. It has different concourses and you feel like you transformed in a mixture of a jungle and a Parisian fairy tale.
Broadway – you cannot say you went to Nashville and did not go to Broadway Street. This is where you will see a million bars, tons of live bands, and lots of bachelor/bachelorette party goers. It is definitely wild during all times of the day, but it is a lot of fun.
A few of my fave bars below:
Jason Aldean’s – this bar is absolutely amazing! It has numerous floors and gives you amazing views (and I am not just listing this one because Jason Aldean is my favorite country artist 🙂 )
FGL house – this place is tucked away in a corner and has a really fun atmosphere. This was probably my favorite out of all of them. It just has a good vibe to it and I liked that it was a bit away from all the hustle and bustle.
Honky Tonk – this is one of the most famous bars in Nashville and that should be enough inclination to go see it.
Mellow Mushroom – this was another one I really liked. They have a pretty small rooftop but it is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and just enjoy some live music.
12 South Neighborhood – this street is filled with some great shopping and restaurants. Reese Witherspoon’s shop Draper James is located there and you can take a cute picture in front of the mural outside. There is also the famous I believe in Nashville sign there; perfect for some photo ops.
Relax – one of my favorite parts about being in Nashville this time was that I actually took the time to relax a bit. Nashville is not very big, so you can see a lot of it in a weekend which I did the first time I was there. This time I went with my mom and we wanted to relax a little and not have a hectic trip. We spent post of our day at the pool and then explored in the afternoon and evening. Another thing to mention is that Nashville in the summer is really hot!! You’re not going to want to be doing too much during the day because the heat is just a lot to take in, but by all means go for it 🙂
Mellow Mushroom – good for casual eats and some bar food. Awesome rooftop/live band experience.
Kitchen Notes – this restaurant was at the Omni Hotel and it had a great breakfast buffet.
Wasabi’s Sushi – at the Opryland Hotel and it has really delicious sushi. You cannot go wrong with any restaurant at the hotel but this one was located right in the heart of the atrium so you get those stunning views.
Trattoria Il Mulino – this Italian restaurant was located right off of Broadway and was a nice break from all the craziness. Not to mention, the food was incredible! Definitely would recommend checking this place out.
No matter what you choose to do in Nashville, it will be bound to be a good time. It is the perfect place for live music and some weekend fun with friends and family!
Have you been to Nashville? What is your favorite bar on Broadway? Let me know in the comments 🙂
