Little strolls through Pisa

Pisa is one of those small Italian towns that you could explore in one day; most popular for the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is a charming town filled with shops, restaurants and perfect for strolls by the Arno River. The best part is that it a perfect day trip and easy to get to. If you have some extra days during your travels, I highly recommend visiting this little town.

The main attraction, of course, is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and it is a must see. It is world known and perfect for photo ops. I still find it incredible that such thing can be still standing while leaning like that.

Naturally, you will be taking a touristy picture while you’re there, either pushing or holding the tower from falling. Sounds easier said than done but it takes a little while to get the perfect shot. A lot of people spend a long time trying to get the perfect shot, but do not worry too much if you cannot get it. The memory of you trying to get the shot will be more memorable than the actual picture.

Although a small town, it has plenty to offer. There is shopping, restaurants, souvenir shops, and a lots of greenery to sit down and enjoy the view. One of the things that I really found big in Italy, is that a lot of people take the time to sit and enjoy themselves, so you will always find people lounging around. It is so refreshing to see, especially being from a big city where everyone is always on the go.
